Wotlk Classic: Why is the availability of tank trinkets and capes so limited

Why is the availability of tank trinkets and capes so limited? As some may be aware, I'm currently playing a DK tank and in the process of upgrading my gear. I'm currently at 4,400 gear score, and I'm only missing a helmet, a cape, and a trinket.

It's surprising that there are hardly any capes and trinkets available for tanks to purchase with tokens. Strangely, not a single trinket has dropped for me in any dungeon or raid. The question arises: why aren't these items offered for tokens?


I did manage to acquire one trinket for tokens that provides dodge, which, while not ideal, replaced a level 70 item. However, there's only one cape available for stones, and I hope to obtain it soon. The next trinket I can purchase is for frost tokens, which will take some time.


When it comes to healers and DPS, every vendor seems to have capes and trinkets available. Am I overlooking something here?


syk072k mentioned that while there are plenty of trinkets, the options for cloaks are more limited. The heroism trinket I have isn't considered great, and there's the armor/dodge on-use trinket for triumph, which is better. Additionally, there's the skeleton key from frost. As for dungeon drops, there's the Gossamer from Nexus, but it's outdated and doesn't drop in gammas. There's also Black Heart from ToC5 Normal, Royal Seal from Black Knight Beta/Gamma Icsk Rotting Thumb from PoS HC, and Satrina/Juggernaut from scourgestones. If Ignis is the weekly quest, there's also a chance at Heart of Iron.


Regarding cloaks, the options are more limited. There's the BoE Iron Council Cloak, but it's SBR/SBV, making it less suitable for DKs. The real options include the 213-hit cloak from Valor, Pride from scourgestones, Titanskin from scourgestones, which is excellent, and Sentinel's Winter Cloak from frost emblems, also a good choice. There might be a Naxx 10 cloak that I'm forgetting, but if I am, it's probably not noteworthy.


In light of this information, what should I prioritize or consider doing to address this gear gap? Maybe need a lot of cheap Wotlk classic gold, MMOexp.com can help me!
