Playing as a solo melee in Outpost Rush (OPR), I often find myself forced to go AFK for more than half the game just to wait for my health to regenerate. This issue could be resolved by introducing a Role Queue system with a compulsory healer in each squad. I understand that ranged playstyles are more appealing because of their self-sustaining nature. I've dabbled with the Musket before, and it's nice to engage in OPR without being constantly bombarded by a barrage of projectiles.
However, I personally find melee gameplay more engaging. Unfortunately, whenever I play solo OPR, a significant portion of my time is spent waiting for my health to regenerate or for my health potion cooldown to reset. I often find myself idly standing behind pillars, engaging in brief skirmishes, and then waiting for around 20 seconds before the next encounter. A single arrow from a bow user can swiftly diminish half of my health with a 16-second damage over time effect.
I manage to achieve 16-22 kills with 1-7 deaths, so I'm performing reasonably well, but it's not an enjoyable experience. I've reached the point where I resort to watching a show on my second screen during the downtime in OPR, just to stave off boredom while waiting for my health to regenerate. And let's not even get started on the exorbitant cost of Infused Regen pots for cleansing.
In the grand scheme of things, the choice between light, medium, or heavy armor doesn't make a significant difference. You'll still get whittled down by damage over time effects and strafing shots, and it takes the same amount of time to regenerate back to full health, only to be bombarded by projectiles again within seconds.
My proposed solution is to implement a basic Role Queue system. With cross-world OPR queues already being relatively short, we could introduce the following changes:
- Require one healer in each squad.
- Optional: Include one heavy armor user in each squad.
- Optional: Limit the number of ranged DPS players.
This adjustment would have an immediate and significant impact on the quality of OPR matches. It would also help level the playing field, reducing the dominance of premade groups, which are often strong due to the presence of healers in every squad. If the game currently necessitates the use of the Lifestaff in every PvP mode, then it's only logical to implement a Role Queue system with mandatory Lifestaff users. After all, such a system is already in place in PvE, so why not bring it to PvP as well? If you need buy New world gold coins, go to MMOexp.com now, 24/7 online service.
