Action games are undoubtedly one of the genres that are most loved. In addition, RPGs or role-playing ones are a renowned game genre in the world of gaming. One subgame in RPG games that is also highly well-known is ARPG which is also known as a play-based role-playing game.
Today, the most well-known game on the market that is part of ARPG is Diablo or Path of Exile. Simply put, they are the best in the field of game-based action that has been played for years. Diablo came out on December 31st in the year 1996. It was developed by Blizzard Entertainment. The other game, Path of Exile was released on the 23rd of October 2013. from Grinding Gear Games.
The interesting thing is that since the first game's release in 1996 the Diablo franchise has been through a series of sequels. For instance, Diablo I and II (June 29, 2000) and the final Diablo III (May 15. 2012). Additionally, all three games featured an additional expansion. For instance Diablo I includes Hellfire II and comes with Lord of Destruction while III also has Reaper of Souls as well as Diablo Rise of the Necromancer extension packs currently available.
Path of Exile, this video game was released six years ago in the year 2013. Since then, no sequels were released however, it is interesting to note that PoE is now ahead of Diablo in its popularity. Why is this? We'll attempt to answer that question in the next section. If your game is Path of Exile, check out MMOexp.com to trade POE items, POE currency and accounts. So, now, with no further delay, let's start.
The reason Path of Exile Is More popular than Diablo Franchise
As previously mentioned, Path of Exile is an under-appreciated Diablo game in its popularity. It is fascinating because, in some segments, it is superior to PoE. We'll try to analyze the differences between the two very popular video games and find the major motives.
Available across different Platforms
The final video game in the series was Diablo III. It first came out on May 15th, 2012. In the preceding 7 years, Blizzard Entertainment introduced the PC version of the game for Windows OS in 2012. along with its Mac OS X version the same year. In 2013 it was the year that PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions were launched. Then, a year later the 2014 PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions came out. The last platform on Diablo III to be made available was Nintendo Switch, just over one year ago, in the year 2018. The title of the game will be Diablo III: Eternal Collection.
It's important to remember it is important to note that Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition was a previous Reaper of Souls extension pack that was modified to work with games consoles (previously only PC versions) and Diablo III: Eternal Collection was a mix of Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancer extensions packs. It's now available to players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One gaming consoles and, since this year, it's also available on Nintendo Switch. Nintendo Switch.
In the case of Exile of Path, it first came out on the 23rd of October 2013. It was released as a game on Microsoft Windows. Then an Xbox One version was released. The Xbox One gaming console appeared in the year 2017. The most recent version released was created specifically for the PlayStation 4 and officially became available on the 26th of March this year.
If you read carefully, you'll find the following: Diablo III is available on more platforms than the Path of Exile video game. As of now, PoE isn't playable on Nintendo Switch or on computers that run Mac OS. This is good news in the case of Diablo III, but let's take a look at other sections.
The campaign, graphics, and gameplay
We decided to examine the three segments. In terms of the story, Diablo III is a fantastic game that has everything you would want in a dungeon hunter. The entire plot has been designed so that it is engaging anytime and to keep your interest. Simple, you're constantly connected to the characters and everything runs extremely effortlessly. In terms of PoE the campaign, it's quite long, but it's also messy.
If you're looking for graphics and gameplay, the best word to describe these parts of Diablo III is 'smooth'. This one is extremely interesting and offers an amazing gaming experience. The thing we'd like to highlight is the gameplay mechanics, but also the accuracy and beautiful graphics. This implies the fact that Diablo III is more enjoyable than PoE in all three segments previously mentioned.
But, that isn't to say that PoE is bad. The gameplay is pretty excellent, and even the gaming experience is decent. However, the main drawback when compared with Diablo is the combat system for melee, which is quite bad. It is good news that Grinding Gears developers are striving to improve the game and improve the gameplay and PoE more enjoyable.
If we look at these results Diablo is a superior game to a challenging one in Path of Exile. Also, Diablo III receives positive marks for excellent graphics and fluid gameplay (especially combat mechanics).
Price Updates, Patches, and Price
The three final segments we'll look at will focus on the cost of the game's video, and the release of patches and updates. While Blizzard regularly releases patches and updates periodically but it's not enough to keep pace with the amazing Path of Exile developers. Grinding Gears releases new improvements in equipment, skills, and much more available to players nearly every month. This is a huge part of video games. It can be described as compensating for the game's release seven years ago and with fewer graphics.
In terms of price, there is a segment that PoE can't be beaten. To purchase the full version of Diablo III, depending on the platform you intend to play, you'll have to shell out just a few dollars. Path of Exile, on contrary, is free and is available on Steam. This is a huge benefit for PoE and these parts appear to be the main draw to the majority of gamers who love ARPGs.
With Diablo 4 already released and the release of POE 2 still to come, we expect more news. More friendly experience for players.
