Haven't had the chance to play Rabies in a time and am thinking about making an Rabid Dog again.
Does anyone know if Rabies has undergone mechanical modifications?
Old intel contained poison and the highest dps If this is rabies, all functions are performed as there was no other poison transferred, however in the event that it was another source it will take its course of Diablo 2 Resurrected Ladder Items. Should Rabies timer be more long, it will be able to take over once the other source has completed its course.
Are you still seeing it working as it did before?
Have been playing around with it with d2maxroll, but it appears that rabies work more in the same way as Poison Dagger and therefore Venom's damage is added to Rabies throughout the duration of Rabies which will make Treachery the ideal weapon for it. It also makes the ability actually playable. total damage, however low dps. Still seems sufficient to be able to kill cows at a reasonable pace.
But not making use of Venom in d2maxroll is likely to cause problems because of the facets (and other poisonous sources that have a short duration) which reduce the duration of Rabies.
Before starting another SSF to test something new Does anyone have any information on the current mechanism of Rabies?
So I thought I'd share an exercise of Rabies Druid that is on the side However, Rabies does not follow through with what it declares.
Rabies: 480-610 over 6.4 sec so 75-95.3125 per second.
Poison Creeper 194-211 in 4 seconds, which is 48.5-52.75 each second.
Crusher (canyon normal) Crusher (canyon normal) 127 HP (average) Maximum 157 HP. (no resistance, except for magic)
In the worst case scenario.
The Rabies virus is fatal to Crusher In 2.093 seconds.
Poison Creeper kills Crusher in 3.237 seconds.
But what happens is that typically Rabies is more than four minutes over an attack with a Crusher (first upon hitting and not including the attack itself that should the attack to be killed quicker) More than twice the time it is expected to.
Multiple times tested without Poison Creeper being out (so it isn't able to interfer with the test) and there was no toxic damage to equipment.
Poison Creeper kills in seemingly the way it should, but rarely do you see it taking close to three seconds, and usually much quicker.
Worse, I've seen it in other creatures, too Some don't even die even though, according to the calculator as well as the ingame damage statistics, they are unlikely to endure.
It's the first bite here, not the one that spreads since that can cause less harm due to shorter time.
Do not attack a second time thus preventing ticks from attacking.
Each time I try to determine the way the Poison Creeper deals with them I summon it to observe the Creeper destroy the monsters much faster that Rabies does (without being present).
Do you have any clues as to the cause?
It can be a bit slow to spread when the enemies are crowded, D2R items and it is less damaging than Creeper where the issue appears to be related to Rabies damage.
Since unless there's something else I can do to correct this issue, Rabies is in fact worse than it was.
