Are there any good PhoenixAssassins here? Need some assistance. I've got my double claw Phoenix assassin to level of 80 on the Act V Hell, Softcore Ladder PC, and she's... okay. It's enjoyable to play with, but the elements of charging and ending isn't as smooth I'm wondering if that's simply how the build performs or if there's something I'm doing wrong? Dragon claw is my favorite to finish my build, and I have Phoenix, CoT, FoF as well as Claw Mastery all maxed with fairly good and skilled gear. My Phoenix Strike does 2800-3200 meteor damage, and 3-7300 Lightning damage, which is fairly well when functioning well.
My computer has Phoenix Strike on a hotkey tied with RMB, Dragon Claw LMB. My main issues are:
It is sometimes it is difficult to accumulate charges. With the highest skill, Ravenfrost and peak Claw Mastery, my chances of hitting are greater than 80% for the majority of opponents. However, sometimes I fall a lot or maybe I get in blocks or stuns? Because I'm using RMB I should be able to keep RMB down and let it auto-attack, but it's extremely annoying.
It is difficult to determine which charges have been built up. Between the loot that is on the ground and the map overlay my Shadowmaster just above me, with her own charges and the meteor fires I usually just need to figure out what charges were accumulated before I to hit the finisher. This often leads to zero elemental and dropping meteors only on fire immunes or dropping useless cold and lightning on cold/lightning immunes, then an attack from a meteor late.
- Sometimes, I miss-click and don't hit any item using LMB when I try to finisher, and there's nothing happening. I suppose I could connect Dragon Claw to an arrow key and RMB but this would involve an awful lot of rapid hotkey switching and I'm afraid I'll be a mess even more.
What kind of is your preferred armor? Because I'm in the middle of the action , I've needed to resort to Treachery to survive the hell, but I sometimes I die. Then there's the problem of sacrificing Burst of Speed in order to get the Fade. I tried Lionheart for a while but it appears Treachery is a better choice overall.
I'd appreciate any suggestions from those who have been successful playing Phoenix Strike assassins in Hell. I'm aware that Traps are better and I could also modify the specs but I really enjoy this Martial Arts gameplay and would prefer to make it better.
